Timing and development of infection rates over the winter
I am interested in the timing of infection and aim
a) to examine the infection prevalence of juvenile threespine stickleback with S. solidus, and
b) how infection prevalence changed over winter.

The video on the left shows S. solidus parasites that had infected the dissected juvenile stickleback (roughly 3 months post hatching).
In this project we found:
1) Stickleback are infected with S. solidus only few months after hatching.
2) The infection rate of juveniles mirrors that of adult fish.
